MACS is an integrated check-in and advanced load planning system for airport and airline operations.  The easy-check-in features enable check-in agents to concentrate on the customer and service provided - not on the system.

The actual check-in process is just a few entries, enabling agents to spend minimal time on transactions. MACS is integrated with over 35 departure control systems (DCS) enabling seamless handling of passengers from one airline to another, through airports, minimising connecting time and maximising passenger throughput.  For weight and balance, MACS has Advanced Load Planning features which enable more efficient planning and distribution of cargo loads which, in turn, optimise payload uplift.
 
mercator's DCS is hosted from twin data-centres in Dubai, providing a modern check-in and load control system for the world's leading airlines. Through a continuous programme of developments and enhancements, MACS is kept up-to-date with the rapidly changing airport industry, maintaining its leadership position.

 


Integration with Reservations
MACS integrated with MARS (mercator's Airline Reservations System) is a powerful sales and services tool enabling reservations and seat assignment all the way through to flight closure time. Post-flight departure updates are also available for customer service and revenue management purposes.

Aviation Security
Aviation security is a key feature of MACS. The solution will check the names of passengers against the various lists (No-fly, Selectee, and Prevent-departure lists) provided by the U.S. MACS also has controls so that alerts are sent to agents in order to prevent processing passengers with a positive match.

Baggage Handling
MACS is specially designed to manage the baggage reconciliation process with interfacing capability to in-house BRS systems. MACS can also produce and receive all relevant BSM messages to communicate with an external BRS and other DCS systems.It processes incoming Baggage Processing Messages (BPMs) and also dispatches Baggage Not Seen (BNS) messages to down line stations.

Immigration
MACS complies with all the latest immigration requirements on AQQ, ESTA, API (US and UN EDIFACT versions), and APP for both passengers and crew.It also facilitates PNR/DCS controlled access and dispatches hajj manifests.

Data Warehousing
The data warehouse can be accessed to retrieve data to generate various reports. This information can help monitor trends, analyse flights, passenger profiles, and agent productivity.
